    1973 Sepia 911S

Hello, I am a new member to the 911S Registry and just beginning to learn about all things Porsche. I have a 1973 911S in sepia that is in original condition. Much to my surprise at the 2010 Porsche Parade, the car won first place in its class and first place in its division. At the 2011 Porsche Parade, the car won first place in its class and third place in its division. The car is a joy to drive and to share with others. I have many questions I hope to post. I just want to make new friends, take really good care of this special car, and enjoy this adventure.

    Hi Candyce,
Brian Fryar was telling me about your car when he saw it at the parade last year. It sounded like a very special car. Glad to see you here.

Hi Candyce, glad to see you have joined up, I think you'll learn a lot about your special car here. I enjoyed meeting you again at Savannah, and as I told you, you're doing a great job with that car. I think you should tell everyone your story, .......but that is up to you.

The story of the Sepia 911S is a great story and it is my story. I was going to publish it on the 911S Registry. Since the story was published in Panorama, I had questions about copywrite infringement. John Dilger contacted me and asked me to wait and not post it online just yet. Possibly, it will be published in Esses.

So, I will share a new story. For 30 years, I attended all the major races at Road America. I just love Road America, Elkhart Lake, and Siebkens. My favorite race is the historic race in July. This year, I entered the Road and Track Concours and was very excited about the whole experience. My sister, Kathy, and I were cleaning the car in a parking lot. While I was cleaning the wheels, Kathy had wrapped masking tape around her hand and was cleaning the dust and lint off the carpeting. I reminded her, "Don't forget to clean the trunk." A while later, I looked up and Kathy was cleaning the engine with masking tape. I yelled, "Kathy, what are you doing?" A bit annoyed, she replied, "I am cleaning the trunk!"

I want to thank everyone for all the kind words. I have spent too much time today exploring the 911S Registry and becoming familiar with the forums. It was enjoyable!

Ed, I am glad I met you. One of the guys from PCA-Chicago Region told me to find you in Savannah. I had no idea how I would do that. I was pleased when you stopped by at Concours Prep. I will share my story with the members of the 911S Registry. Thanks for the compliment on the car ... I am slowly learning how to take care of it and have had a lot of help.
