    Daydreaming on the Beach

At the Amelia Concours, the mornings and then some was spent looking at the cars. The afternoons were spent daydreaming on the beach about a little brown car.

    My dreams, Sepia's bucket list--

To take a cross-country trip in the 911.
To show the S at one of the "big" shows, possibly Amelia Island.
To place at the Vintage Concours at Road America. (The Vintage Race and the Concours at RA is my all time favorite. I have attended every one.)
To visit Stuttgart, the Porsche Museum, and check out the archives on 911 330 1365.
    To write the entire story.

    And, of course--

To take really good care of a very special car.
    To drive the car.
    To show the car.
To meet new people, share my story, and hear their stories.

    Hold fast to your dreams,

It is a gray, cold, and snowy day in northwest Indiana. The morning was spent detailing the exterior of the 911 in a frigid garage wearing four layers, a stocking hat, and gloves.

Sepia will be in a display of vintage automobiles at a small, local museum. Nice! I've been looking forward to it all winter.

There is still a few things to do. But, it is just too frosty to kneel down on the garage floor to clean the tires, carpets, and wipe down the floor boards. Tomorrow is another day, hopefully warmer. And then, there is Wednesday.

Are you going to have to drive it to that show on what will likely be sloppy nasty roads?

Ed, no way will the 911 be driven in this sloppy mess. But, the weatherman has predicted 60, dry, and sunny on Wednesday. Hopefully, it will all melt tomorrow. The drop-off time has been extended. I'm not the only one not driving their nice car in this weather. If the weather does not cooperate, I will trailer it to the show. Tomorrow's weather will be a balmy 47 and I will finish cleaning it.

Mike, last Monday I was on the Beach at Amelia. Enjoy your vacation!

Peter, thanks for the compliment. I like the contrast between the snow, an old, cluttered garage, and a nice Porsche.

    Cruisin' through The Times

Last fall, I received a letter about this antique and classic car exhibit. It was checked out and somebody knew somebody who knew all about the 911 and passed on the information. The S will be driven into the showroom on Thursday along with 15 other automobiles. This being Northwest Indiana, it will probably be the only Porsche--possibly the only foreign car.

It is not the Porsche Museum, but to me, it is just as good as being in Stuttgart. This story about Sepia 911S just unfolds and keeps on rollin' along. I am just a passenger along for the ride. Just amazes me!

After everything is all setup, photographs will be posted.

Yesterday, the cars were driven into the Indiana Welcome Center for the Vintage Car Show. It was fun to watch the set-up from upstairs. Around here, there are quite a few cruise nights, and car shows in a parking lot or field. This indoor show is a first and a big step forward. It is very exciting to be part of it.

Very cool. Glad you are able to introduce the folks to the Porsche.

    Not Many ...

Very cool. Glad you are able to introduce the folks to the Porsche.

Not many Porsches around here and even fewer early 911s. That is why it is so much fun to show the car. Most people want to know all about it.
