Some details on pics I've appropriated, with thanks.
1. Interior with CS Recaro hard back seats. CS's were delivered with both these and "comfort" Recaro reclining seats- and are the same basic seat as the 964 RS (lightweight fabric was used instead of the leather used in the RS, although the leather was an option on CS's; I know of at least one local car with leather Recaros).
Note the CS steering wheel, as used in the 964 RS too.
2. 17 in. Cup 1 rims (1992-3) and then Cup 2 rims used (1993-4)
3. Brakes- MO30 cars have crossed drilled brakes vs these standard brakes- an easy at a glance way to identify an MO30 car, although many have been upgraded since new.

4. The 3 Liter 4 Cylinder VarioCam, with 240 hp mated to a 6sp 'box.
5. Rear hatch area- note the small square white fabric decal in the hatch area that carries the VIN, build and 'M' Option code information for that particular car. This should match the info copied into the service books at the factory prior to delivery.

1. A very rare & special order RHD Aventrine green metallic CS with post delivery blackened rims- probably had silver rims from new.
2. White with Blue rims and decals, a-la '73 2.7 RS. A good looking colour combo IMO.
3. White with black rims- the black rims on these cars would have been blackened post delivery as I believe this was not a factory option offered in period.

It's the factory code for a series of enhancing options of a sports nature for the water cooled cars, like M471 was a code for the air cooled cars....
Details:
M030 =
- Stiffer springs, lowered
- Thicker sway bars
- Adjustable Koni Dampers
- Larger Cross Drilled brake discs
- Bigger pistons in the brake callipers
- Limited Slip Differential (available as an option on it's own as M220 but almost always ordered in conjunction with option MO30)
I've owned CS's with and without MO30; in the real world there is little difference, and if you are planning on tracking the car you'll probably upgrade it beyond MO30 anyway.....

Stu,
I loved it. I recall a fairly brisk drive through the National Park south of Sydney in it.
I've drive quite a few, but they have been in more of a race spec, than a road spec.
Not sure if I'd pay the asking price for it now though - I'm sure the unique colour, and Melbourne Motor Show History account for the premium?
I do however like the look of the Turbo RS one for sale at the moment ( not sure if its one of the Fitzgrerald built cars , or another subsequent one).
Cam that white one looks to have a sunroof in the pictures is that correct?
I've a mate who has owned 3 of these - he loves them, but can tell a few horror stories on some of the more well raced examples. I suppose they were the RS of their day, so some damage here and there is to be expected.
Stu - Interesting thread. I've long thought that Mrs Obrut should get about in one of these when the baby seat is no longer required. Did the CS's get a/c?
Raj - I hope you're right about the 964 Speedster...
Cheers, Ryan
