No, the ones from Porsche are rubber now. They are probably better than the cork long term but wanted to be as correct as possible even though you'll never see the damn things. I got all this stuff from my friend who had it all originally made. I do believe these are available now from other sources.

Just found this thread. Should there not be 5 rather than 6 stickers on the engine lid panel, ie the one second from left was not fitted. And the stickers were more of a shiny gold day one, at least the original ones I've found were. Lovely work BTW, I've just finisihed having my 2,4S restored, number .........614 , Feb 1972.

I have an original 71 built 5/71 just 2 months before this car and it has all 6 decals so I'll go by that unless you show me different.

I think you'll find '5 stickers' was for 73MY although happy to be corrected.

    Cheers,

Majordad, I have all kinds of pictures I can send you of original cars with all stickers. Pm me your e-mail address. I don't want to post them all in this thread. Thanks, -Scott

Speaking of stickers I kept the original OIL sticker on the lid when it was painted. Faded in all its glory.

Sorry for hikacking your picture, but is there a known source for these "split" nuts?

    Thanks a lot!

I don't believe so Olivier. Find originals and have them restored.
