I really need to move to a less populated part of the country. I have an every day run of the mill Dansk 2 in 1 out on my S and I still set off car alarms driving through car parks.

    Cool

Mike, I was just playing on the irony of the excercise. I completely understand the audio component of the driving experience. The historic roar of these early race systems is a big part my love for Porsches. Hell, my biggest motivations for this muffler project were the classic appearance and the HOWL! I'm convinced that with a minimum diversion of the gases, and an elegant bit o' engineering, I've gotten most of the way there, and I'm very happy with it. It's loud without being obnoxious, it howls yet allows easy conversation inside the cabin. I've yet to experience the full impact of what the rest of the world hears as it goes by, but I know it's loud as hell. The beauty of where we live is that I have no one to answer to if it is too loud. The extra power was a gift.

Here's another view of the back. Do you think the red reflectors push it over the top? -

I always figured Jens was referring to himself with the RatBastard talk - the car is a real beauty.

Hard to believe we can still be driving this late in the season around here - must not be primo skiing up there though if you are still playing with the car.

I have a question on the RSR muffler, more to the DYI aspect. Will 2.5" pipe still fit under the valance of a stock car? Seems like a lot of the cars posted above have either fiberglass bumpers or cut outs of some sort. I see the typical 2" pea shooter style done in the center and under the valance. Before I go cutting and fabing using 2.5" I wanted to be sure it would fit. I will try to do a mockup but figured I would post the question.
