As usual, the time sheets don't tell the whole story.

First qualifying (Solo drivers and "B" enduro drivers) was held during a torrential downpour. The guys running wet tyres throwing huge tails of water at the rest of us. Andy likes the wet and did very well to put his car in 10th, with me 2 secs back in 14th. Tim had some wiring gremlins and an engine that wasn't revving properly.

Second qualifiying (Solo drivers and "A" enduro drivers - ie. owners) was held in bright sunshine and heat - although the track still had some very wet areas. I ended up in 14th with a second gap over Andy in 19th. I also did a bit of gardening after hitting one of the bigger puddles.

The first race was a debacle... We were called to the grid just after qualifying and way out of the scheduled time. Lots of rushing to fuel up etc. The grid guys didn't have a grid sheet so we couldn't be properly placed on the dummy grid. Then the grid sheet arrived but the grid controller just ordered the cars onto the track without most of the cars being positioned. In the ensuing melee, a grid position free-for-all took place. Some did well (AB to 7th) and some didn't (me to 31st!).

The first 2 laps were insane with slower and quicker cars mixed together. I caught up to AB and we had fun dice for a while. I passed him then he got me back then I got him again and made a bit of a gap. But then I came up behind a Datto I love to pass and pushed it a little hard - and spun...

Sadly, the day was halted not long after due to a very bad accident in a Group N race. We don't know the full story yet but the ambulances and police cars are very ominous signs.
    Cheers, Ryan

A quick post to advise that the gent involved in yesterday's accident is out of intensive care and doing well.

Good day today with great weather and lots of people dropping in to the pits. The 25 lap Enduro was long and hot and lots of fun. Unfortunately, Tim didn't make the start and Andy dropped out with only a few laps to run.

That's it for the racing year!
    Cheers, Ryan

No worries Cam, I would have much preferred to drive it home than the Sb car...
