Red face Time warp street racer

Just pulled this 1971 911T out of hibernation. It was built in the early 90´s and is really a time warp from Porsche scen in Sweden back then.

(Yes the paint is bad, it has some scruffs but for me this just adds on to the coolness since all was done 30+ years ago.)

Hand made rear flairs, JP rims on 205 in front and 225 in the back. A bit high in the front since the previous owner had a steep downhill to his garage and needed more clearance.

The engine is supposed to be a 2,5L with S-cams and the previous owner claims he´s only ran it for 1250 miles since 1978 when the engine was built. (We will run a comp-test and have a guy look at it in a couple of days) - Drives Fast!

Im just totally thrilled, when I hit the throttle it roars, this car is really fast!!

Just thought i´d share some pics of it, never thought i´d find my dream car this way. The sad thing is it´s not mine but it´s in the family so im all ok with that.

Just spoke to the guy who built the car back in 1979.

It has carrera flares, 2,7 (?) carrera cylinder upgrade, short stroke, S-cams and Webers (will look up which) Koni dampers around, ventilated S-calipers and a customized muffler for better flow.

    1250 miles on the build.

Sounds promising. What are your plans for the car?

    Wonderful car, Jesse.

If you can, tell the story about how the car was found. And why was it sitting all this time?

    Also --- more pictures, please . . . .

Awesome find. Congrats! The "carrera cylinder upgrade" is most likely the same as my 71. 90mm RS pistons/cylinders on the original 2.2L case = 2.5L short stroke. It will have very low compression. But it doesn't matter, as you already discovered

The car was bought from a gentleman who ran a workshop back in the 70s.
A friend in the industri, also well known Porsche builder helped him out with the upgrades to a more competitive street/race car.

The car got stuck in between business and life, left standing at the workshop for 20 years, just a couple years after it was done.

Curt, spot on, just those specs, with a race clutch so its a little stubborn in city trafficking

    Will post more pics soon
