    Auction Description:

This 1967 Porsche 911 coupe was completed in October 1966 finished in Light Ivory over black leatherette and equipped with Pepita seat inserts, Koni shocks, and ventilated chrome wheels. The car was reportedly sold new in Germany and later brought to the US. Its numbers-matching flat-six engine remains fitted and is paired with a Type 901/13 transaxle. The exterior was updated at some point in the past with a short hood and front fenders, 964-style front bumper, G-body rocker panels and rear bumper, 964 mirrors, widened rear fenders, a rear deck lid with spoiler, and 1990s-era wheels. The interior was also updated as described below. According to the selling dealer, the car has been stationary for some time. This 911 is now offered as a non-running project with a Porsche Production Specifications certificate, copy of the Kardex, and a clean Texas title.

A repaint in red was completed some time in the past, though the finish now shows considerable fading on portions of the hood, driver-side door and front fender, front bumper, and other areas. The rest of the body shows fitment issues, cracks, and other blemishes. Later-model 16″ alloy wheels are mounted with Michelin and Goodyear tires. The front trunk features a later-model fuel tank and space-saver spare assembly.

A G-body speedometer/odometer is fitted, while the other green-numbered gauges remain present. According to the seller, the factory aluminum dash trim has been painted black. Later-model updates include the dashboard top, door panels, center console, and seats. An aftermarket steering wheel has also been mounted.

The flat-six engine features several red-finished components. Dual Weber carburetors are topped with K&N air filter shrouds, with the left-hand element missing as depicted above. This 911 has not run for some time and will require a full assessment and potential rebuild of mechanical systems. Engine #909385 matches the Porsche Production Specifications certificate and Kardex as original to the vehicle, and the transaxle stamping is #7196036.

Underneath, there is evidence that this car was painted orange at some point. Based on the seller’s assessment the floor pans appear original, while the battery box and torsion bar supports were likely replaced long ago. The suspension has received later components as well, most noticeably in the front. There are areas of corrosion. The Production Specifications certificate states that this particular Porsche was completed on October 18, 1966 finished in Light Ivory over black leatherette with Pepita cloth inserts and optioned with Koni shocks and ventilated chrome wheels.
