Thread: 911 Normale Cars for Sale

  1. #691

    FS: @Dusty Cars - '65 Coupe - 300517

Although there is no published price, based on the early status of this example, I thought it was worth posting. Any ESR colleague know the asking price?

    Dealer Description:

Rare early-production 1965 Porsche 911: VIN 300517; stored inside a dry garage for decades; all numbers match; original floor metal; excellent original interior; low miles. Factory wood steering wheel and dash in excellent original condition; original factory color is Slate Grey 6401 B; straight body with uniform gaps all around. We purchased this car in Woodenville, Washington, exactly as you see it: not vacuumed or cleaned, still in its time-capsule state. It has not been driven in over 20 years. Our techs cleaned the fuel system and started the engine, which runs evenly on all cylinders. Excellent candidate for top-end restoration. Original Porsche factory Kardex attached. We go to extents to document our cars in pictures and provide the most transparent listings on Ebay. Please study the pictures carefully rather than requesting descriptions. Please complete any inspections or ask any questions prior to bidding or committing to buy the car. Thanks for the interest! I would have highlighted the tall grill.

    Looks splendid from a distance.

A very nice, complete example. Of course it needs to come completely apart and needs the chassis totally restored. It is complete and I like it even if it is not a 901 ! Thanks.

PS "Dusty" does find some nice cars every now and then. A while back he had a 356 Speedster Carrera albiet with a pushrod engine. Sold for HUGE BUCK$ He told me it was his record high sale.

    Half a Mil?

Someone needs to gently tell the seller he’s out of his tree.

Strange that only one of the two mechanical recirculating fuel pumps is handling both carbs? I guess it's because they can't source metal crossover lines?

I think these pictures must have been taken before completion. There are no fuel lines to the right hand bank at all and there are other electric connections not complete ie oil pressure sender, distributor ??

Nice looking car, I agree its optimistic regards value. But you only need one buyer!
