The 911/83 Carrera 2.7 engine by RUF is in the car. Soon gonna be started (again). If all is fine, it goes to Pfaffenhausen for its convertible top and interior work, as agreed with Mr. Alois Ruf. Name: RUF 2019 Oct21.jpg

Can't go wrong with a 2.7 RS RUF engine. Looks fantastic!

Temporarily on Cosmic replica wheels (that actually look nice on it ) while the 7x15 Fuchs (Carrera as all dated '74-'75) ones put by RUF are being refurbished in period correct RS style (asked by Mr. Ruf) thus only outer lips and petals shiny anodized. Pls see the color now "in real"! Back at the time it wasn't chosen by coincidence. For me it's awesome, sorry, although I'm not a metal flake fan for early Porsches. The worn original roof is put back to make RUF Automobile's experts see it's all complete. This color has a touch of blue in it so I've decided to go for a deep dark blue top, instead of black. Interior will be full leather in Cartier Red, by the original RUF specs. Maybe a checked insert for the front seats would go well with?

Maybe, get 2 tops made one in Black and one Dark Blue? Couldn't hurt to have a back up and the black top looks great. -Scott

    Odd . . .

. . . what happened to the post from this morning?

Saw some pics of the car, then read a comment about Alois Ruf not wanting his picture on the internet?

    What's with that? ---- Guy's ALL OVER the internet . . .

Arriving to Pfaffenhausen on November 22nd. Both, Mr. Alois Ruf and Mr. Hans Lampert (with the torch) who phisically built the car 36 years ago and who is working with Mr. Ruf for 45 years now (since he was 17) approved its build quality that I'm extremely happy about. Chosen by us top color is a very deep blue called Schwartz-Blau, interior will be in full leather as back in '84, a mix of black and flamenco red (earlier it was a very similar dark red, like Cartier). The car will be ready by the end of March 2020. My next appointment with Mr. Ruf is on January 9th. (He asked me not to publish pics of him on the internet and I keep my promise. But I'm gonna make and show nice pics of the ready car and us together at the very end. Name: RUF 2019 Nov22_1.jpg

Which front struts are you running? I assume the rear shocks are Bilstein Sports?
