What a car - it simply ate up the distance and did not miss a beat. Hard to believe it is nearly 40 years old...
The Carrera 3.0 is really a versatile car.

Has anybody seen a 1976 model without the auto heat controller, just a hand throttle lever and heater handle with a red knob ?
I thought they all came with the auto heat, but my pretty original car only has a manual handle.

If your car is a very early production, say Sept. Oct. 75 build, then it could have the regular levers. I have seen one before.

Rick, your wonderful Minerva Blue C 3.0 had the manual levers, and I think was a late 1976 build (1977 MY). Was it originally manual, or did you convert it over?

Many, many regrets on letting that one go, I know Rob has explained.

I was surprised to see you sold that one. The new owner has been in contact with me quite a bit.
Anyway, that was a December 76 build, and it did have auto heat. Most never worked anyway, and expensive to fix for very little gain .
I had to remove it to install the hand throttle system that all MFI cars have.

    Hello,
I am looking to buy this C3 and have few questions: (1976 all numbers match)
    - engine, does it look original (carbs?), all images i see here are injector type...
    - is all rubber duck tail original?
    - what kind steering wheel is it?

    Thanks
    - engine: engine was on k-jetronic, no carbs = later conversion
    - is all rubber duck tail original? Nope, C3 option was whale tail spoiler
    - what kind steering wheel is it? Porsche design, aftermaket. See also http://www.early911sregistry.org/for...porsche+design
