    Talking Thanksgiving trip '011

    For my 34th annual Thanksgiving trip to Northern CA. I took my 'new' commuter car ('04 GTI) for the first time... The little guy ran GREAT for the 1100 odd miles and got about 26 MPG on the open road....

    - GTI in Bakersfield

    - Next 3 days with Steve and Vicky Childs (and some of their cars... ) in Placerville

    - Steve Childs still hurting from his motorbike accident......

    We had time to visit our Placerville friend, and board contributor, Steve Baker and his beautiful Early 911 hot rod project...

    When this car gets done it will really turn some heads....

    Maybe Steve B. will come on and give us some more info......
