Not a great weekend for me although there were some positives.

    1. We have finally got to the bottom of the misfiring that has been plaguing the blue car for a while now. It seems the tacho wire from the engine has been grounding and causing some very frustrating problems. So despite the swirl pot, two fuel pumps, numerous coils, rebuilt webers and four tacho's, its just one little wire that caused all the problems. So a little engine freshening is required from all the misfiring before it can run again, but I can say that with the new wire, is rev'd like a banshie, and was a dream.

    2. As a first hit out for the Carrera3.0 it was pretty successful when it ran well. It had heaps of torque and loads of grip. Unfortunately the dirty fuel from the tank came back despite a professional tank clean.

So its all go for philip island, withe the tank and pumps and swirl pot out of the blue car and into the c3, all should be well. Only one car will be travelling to the island though!

Se my other post re the Sb car under Sb candidate.

The middle photo is freakin' me out. Too much lean? Just enough lean? Not enough lean? Bigger front bar? Flat slide? Rolled tyre?

On second thought, it may just be the camera angle or the track camber? Backing away, putting the tools down...

I think I have worked it out. The middle photo is coming onto the straight, hence the extra lean. Remember that everyone said you can not set up for that corner, but you can for all the others!

Ryan don't even think about it!! Good to see the wheels now pumped out.

Remember as you pump the wheels out the bars effectively lose one or two points on stiffness.

Also I think in all other shots it sits perfect!

    Too late!

I disconnected the rear bar during WP practice to try and tame some oversteer (which it did) - and ran that way for the rest of the weekend.

I've now reconnected it but can easily undo it again if it also oversteers at PI practice (that's assuming I can get to PI...)
