    How many original owners?

I was just wondering how many here are the original owners of their cars?
I don't know how to do a poll, but I wonder how any others like me have hung on to their cars thru thick and thin?
I almost sold mine back in 81 when I bought my first Turbo but was only offered 7500 so I kept it and am very happy I did. Lot's of memories and it's still a joy to drive.
I'd be scared to add up all my repair receipts over the years; rebuilds, repaints, tires brakes, alternators, clutches, suspensions, tbars, seals, updates, backdates, reupholstery, etc. etc. etc.

I purchased my 1971 914-6 in July 1971 when I was a youthful 21 years old. 85,000 miles and 40 plus years later it is still with me which is more than I can say about my youth

Mark, you are a *very* lucky man. Not only did you have the financial ability to buy a new Porsche at a very young age, you picked a great example and were wise enough to hang onto it.

I go back to September '68 when I took delivery of my '69T, totally unmolested, it is driven whenever someone wants to take it out ... I haven't been without a Porsche and a Ferrari since... great pair of marques to have... for all the family to enjoy...

These are great stories! If only I had been smart (and rich) enough to buy a Porsche as my first new car back in '73 instead of the Olds 442 I bought.
    Cheers!

Ok I guess the question SHOULD have been, "How many cars here have their original owners?"
I always tell my wife, (when she complains) "I've had my Targa longer than we've been married." I don't suggest anyone say this to their wives unless they want more time in the garage to work on their car.
So I guess Fromage is the longest original owner her so far.
