    Great observations BEH.
    Is it customary for this dealer to ask such high prices for cars of this quality? Many of these issues are obvious, but minor which makes one ask why they weren't handled prior to marketing.

    I don't know the dealer. Their web site's sold section does show that some nice cars have gone through their hands in the past.

    The stuff I pointed out is mostly very minor and wouldn't keep me from looking into this car if I were in the market. At least the ad is not over the top in its representation of the car but 'flawless' is a bit strongly worded.

    Every car has flaws.

    This car shows sold at 2shores.com, but for sale again by another place for $123k:
    http://www.excellence-mag.com/classifieds/8135

    The most recent ad also implies work was done to the car since it was purchased from 2shores.

    119300047

    Bahama Yellow over black leather

    VIN = 119300047
    Eng # = 6390105
    Trans # = 7190202

    Mi = 3233 (?)

    From the old 2shores ad copy . . .

    . . . . 1969 marked the first year for the famed mechanical fuel injection in Porsches top of the line S models. The 1969 S was Germany’s fastest production car in 1969 and instantly became the dream car of almost every motoring enthusiast in the world.
    With only 1492 units produced and the highest hp rating (170) for any 2.0l engine the high revving 1969 S model has risen to almost iconic status among the Porsche aficionados. There is nothing like the potent 2 liter Boxer coming “on cams” at 6000rpm and above.

    This particular example is a very early car (#47), produced in September 1968 and has been restored in 2008. It is a fully numbers matching car per Certificate of Authenticity from Porsche.

    VIN# 119300047
    Engine # 6390105
    Transmission # 7190202
    Color code: 6805 (bahama yellow)

    The car shows flawless and runs and drives perfect. It comes with 5 fully refurbished correct deep dish Fuchs wheels, toolkit, jack and owners manual.

    This is a rare opportunity. The Porsche 911S market is quite contracted for a number of years now and truly good cars rarely come to market. A 1969 S model in highly sought after bahama yellow . . .

    This car reminds me sooooo much of A.T.s car . . . also restored ~'08 . . . also ex-CA (The 'C' plate on the 2shores ad is a '63-issue . . . )

    Gentlemen . . . . . . . start . . . your FLIPPING!

    I would venture to guess this new seller hasn't done much or anything at all to this car.

    I try to stick to the facts when posting on S Reg, but I will say I don't disagree with your opinion...

    So few cars get the proper representation when posted for sale on the internet. Embellishment, innuendo, all the rest. Don't these sellers know that the internet doesn't forget anything?

    They just might, Bryce

    Post The Pictures . . .

    Post The Stories . . .

    But --- most of all . . . . post the VIN

    'Cause when people start getting the idea to take that VIN, and then come here --- to this site? . . .

    . . . when people see what's going on here?

    . . . that's when The Registry takes off
