Here's a reasonably priced reissue on vinyl of Stephen Stills laying down some demo solo takes in 1968 just after leaving Buffalo Springfield, but before joining CSN. Sounds pretty good and is cool as heck. Stills drove an early 911 around this time. Crosby did too.

P.S. Perhaps the album I find most timeless is The Doors - The Doors. When Jim Morrison flew out of LAX to later overdose in Paris, he left his 911 in the airport parking lot with a kilo of dope in the front trunk.
Short of a non-RE1 Monarch original US pressing, this should do the trick:

Harry,
I am also a vinyl guy but now with more CDs. Just asking, but what is bebop jazz?
This morning I listened to what I consider to be one of the first "psychedelic" albums: "Odgens' Nut Gone Flake" by the Small Faces. Do you know Happiness Stan?
Just saying. I bought a lot of vinyl in 1965-1973, and now buy parts for cars of that era.

the internet says it's a "sportster" :-) john spent his first royalty check on the porsche, apparently. The man is really terrific live in concert. but i stood out like a sore thumb, did not fit the demographic.

small faces are good, love procol harum.
bebop is like charlie parker, john coltrane, mingus, miles davis (though he is post bop), and art blakey and the jazz messengers (which is actually hard bop).
coletranes music does the same thing that 60s dead and the allman bros does.. makes me feel like im on a twisty road in the 912 just jammin.... just close your eyes and feel every curve, and every shift..
ps.. as a drummer, elvin jones is god...
art blakey..

Prine was here in Jackson a couple of years ago and it was a great show - interesting crowd here also - from 'kids' to 'boomers' and a few 'rasins' also.

Harry,
Thanks for the videos. I understand. I was taught jazz by my uncle who called bebop "fast tempo" jazz. He had a huge record collection (mostly 78s') and could hear a piano riff (say, Leon Russell) and could replay it back perfectly. He loved Charlie Parker and Max Roach.
John McLaughlin is bebop jazz? I remember bringing this Jack Bruce album to him, and he was impressed.
He also taught me that rock and roll is recycled old "blues", classical, and jazz music. I agree except rock, IMO, stepped it up a notch with vocal harmonies and current (and better) lyrics.
Harry, you mentioned that you like some rock and roll. Will you make a list? I'll go first:
1. Pink Floyd
2. The Rolling Stones
3. The Beatles
4. Radiohead
