    FS Red Fan Shroud

    Unshrouded Ones,

Here is a very nice shroud for, I believe, a '70S. Will work for earlier cars too. I was fully intending to use this on my '67 semi hot rod engine but decided, in the end, to go totally stock look. One small repair which is visable on bottom picture. $250 is U.S. which includes shipping; $280 outside of U.S. including shipping. Open to reasonable offers. Please email me directly DrRSR@aol.com Thanks.

It's a one year only '69S shroud. In 67/8 there was no mfi and in 70 Porsche added the big, grey duct to send more air to the engine mounted oil cooler.

Actually I'm thinking that might be a 69 shroud, it has no tunnel to the oil cooler. I thought 70-72 had the tunnel riveted on, and then in 73 the tunnel became molded in with the removable cap over the oil cooler. I would say more investigation needed.

I don't believe it is a 69 shroud although it would obviously work.

The two I have (one on the car, the other loose), have no hole for the MFI pump idle circuit adjustment. Without this hole, Porsche recommended a special flexible screwdriver 'P tool' to get to the adjustment screw in 69 cars.

Porsche 'fixed' this in 70 by adding the hole you see in this shroud.

Well, here is what I was referring to in my comment thinking this shroud is 70+. This is a page from MFI Check, Measure, and Adjust.

The second picture is of the original shroud from my car. Notice no hole in the shroud for MFI adjustment.

It would seem to be impossible to make the adjustment without a hole in the red shroud to reach the mixture screw? Thanks.
