    Mounting Seats

So i got my seats today, (nurburgring from bf torino, purchased from another forum member) and I am trying to figure out how to best mount this..

the seats have sliders, a tilt bracket and then a bracket thats supposed to mount to the car. I cannot tell if it mounts to the standard mounts or what (havent got that far yet). but where I am a little stuck is how to mount the sliders to the bracket.

the bracket part where the rails would mount does not have threads. Would it be safe to mount them using an allen head screw and a [nylock] locking nut? or do i need to worry about it failing? am not sure how other seats mount so want to check..

Can't answer the question, but remember that most of the load will be carried by your seat belts should you unfortunately run into something that brings you to an abrupt stop. Of course this isn't true if the car is intended for the track and you somehow find yourself going backwards into the wall. But if the car is designed for the street and if you are religious about the belts, there isn't much to worry about. And remember that the factory thought that four smallish screws were strong enough, in shear, to carry all the loads on the seat in the early days.

    Harry,

I must quantify my instructions as they relate to stock Recaro sport seats.

You have to mount the sliders to the tilt bracket before mounting the tilt bracket. Then mount the tilt bracket to the floor brackets. I think the floor brackets have to be mounted already - not sure on this one. Then mount the seat onto the tilt bracket.
