Thread: BOGE strut color...blue, blue/grey?

  1. #1

    Question BOGE strut color...blue, blue/grey?

Does anyone know the original color for the BOGE struts? Some kind of blueish grey or light blue/grey...I'm hoping for a photo of an intact paint job on one of your all's saweet rides. I'm a 912'er and our BBS site is trying to answer this one as well...Any help would be greatly appreciated. I don't want to coat my struts in black as that is boring.... I have old struts to look at so am familiar with the faded color I'm hoping for either a concours quality photo of an existing strut or a color code....one can only hope right?

I always thought they were black. The cosmoline bath they got may have altered the color a bit, but I've cleaned quite a few of them in my parts cleaner and they always end up looking black to me...

    Good luck.
