Hi Chuck, these are the two pictures I found too, what a beautiful color indeed!!
I purchased a very early 68 911L Targa today in that color and we are going to perform a total restoration on it and thats why I would love to find more pictures so we can better sample the paint, so if we can find more pictures that would be great!

    Thanks!

Have you tried to contact Lesonal? They should be able to sell you the paint in the correct color or convert the old formula to a modern one. And don´t take no for an answer!

To sample the paint from a photo is very hard, and it will never be spot on. The sea green color is so beautiful, I think it is worth trying to get it 100% correct.

Henk, here's another photo of the same car in that gorgeous colour. I cannot take credit for the excellent photo which was most probably by a fellow Registry member.

Well, we all are excited about the color of the car pictured above, however I now seriously doubt if that is correct Sea Green...
Today we started taking my car apart to begin the restoration and I found original paint on the inside of the door and underneath the parcel shelf, clearly it is a totally different color than the car above.
I am positive what I found is original factory paint so conclusion can only be: this is correct Sea Green code 62164 ?

    Jade Green

These photos do not look like Seafoam Green to me. The color looks close to Jade Green, but Jade Green was not a 1968 color. It could be Turquoise Green (6831 or 220), which is listed under the 1968 paint code list. I have never seen Turquoise Green in the flesh.

Here is my Jade Green car for reference:

Yes, the color you found does look like Jade (light) green, code 227. Actually, sea green 62164 is listed as a 1966-67 color only in both Dr. Johnsons book and at www.elferhelfer.com

Maybe you can ask your local Porsche dealership to look up the VIN, and tell you the original color code for your car?

I ordered a COA today, so let's see what it will be called there.
Anyway, this is the ID plate in de door jam and it looks like original to me... code says 62164
