2shores usually has some nice examples. I see the '69S they were offering at six figures earlier this year has already sold.

Besides the respray, it looks like this car needs a radio, antenna, visors, headliner (current one appears to be black) and more importantly interior back to cinnamon. The rest of the interior looks to be in nice shape. So what is the new owner looking at - another $12-17k? Considering the original color of the car, the shape it's in and who is selling it, it still may sell.

btw, the COA states 4 speakers. Does that sound correct?

    Try $25-30K.

. . . Numbers matching Porsche 911S Coupe. This car has enjoyed a careful and long time ownership since 1997. Extensive maintenance records include complete engine and mechanical fuel injection rebuild to original specs as well as dozens of receipts for maintenance work throughout the years.

The cars documented mileage is 123k with about 30k on the engine rebuild.
This is an extremely well maintained 911S in great running condition.

We have the certificate of Authenticity for the car and it is a numbers matching Coupe, except for the color code.
The car was originally conda green and professionally repainted to black in the 80’s.

Useable and beautiful as is, the car would highly benefit from a repaint to original specification.

The 2,2S Coupe is among the purest and most sought after early 911s. With a numbers matching engine, these cars are true blue chip collectibles in today’s classic car world . . .

I appreciate that there is much to to do with this car but a matching car that was Conda Green over Cinnamon is going to be very special indeed. My wife coined a term for cars like this. It's a rolling restoration. You get to enjoy it while you bring it back to its former glory. If I had the funds I would make an offer.

Rolling restoration? The only rolling my cars ever did during resto was from shop to shop, while I impatiently waited until they were finished....

But then some of the britework suddenly doesn't look right with that shiny new paint job and so you make a list and you "might as well" get the Fuchs redone and get the suspension refurbished...and it would be nice to get some sportseats but those need to be sent out and then you might as well have the latches replated, etc, etc, etc...anyone's best intentions at restraint go out the window when you talk about repainting a car and start considering the "perfect" parts to go with that nice conda green paint job...the prospect of having the perfect car WILL take over in most cases!

    Stacy,

If you're not impatient and do what you must to keep the car on the road it's a rolling restoration. I believe that Marco is a believer in the strategy as well. Space it out. Enjoy the car and the process.

    Just my $.02.
