ONS 911 ST Cameo in 'Rush'

I'm sure a bunch of us are excited about Ron Howard's upcoming film 'Rush'. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1979320/ They're using real period F1 cars and by the looks of the ONS ST they got for the crash scene at the Nürburgring the movie should be pretty realistic. Hopefully the CG is minimal or non existent.

Someone was in the woods filming when they were shooting the scene. ST sounds pretty nice pulling up.

    Hi Carl,

Looking forward to seeing the movie also and like you hope they keep it 'real'. The ONS car looks and sounds really good, but I see they used a 911 without a ducktail. I'm pretty sure the original footage of that horrible crash shows an ONS with the tail. Oh, well only we would pick up on that detail.

I guess the movie crew is really trying to be accurate in other ways...

Yeah, I'm surprised they missed that. Maybe they needed to hire a safety car consultant.

This is the best color footage I found with the aftermath. The road was wider, less railing and more support vehicles(maybe CGI it later?)

The 'Rush' 911 Recaro car looks like it could be Batman's Robin's car. The 'R' logos are small. I used to work in Movie props and can't help with the correct details!!
