You learn something new every day. The original paint code for Brian's 67 911S is 2606 Silber Met. This was a special ordered color sprayed on the early 356's. When searching for 2606 in my database, no such code was present. I called several of my Porsche paint colleagues to see what they were doing about this color. Most shops are basically using a previous original painted 2606 panel as a tint. I could not bring myself to paint this car using a formulated tint that was not original. So several calls to Glasurit headquarters did the job. They found the 2606 formula in an old database. They mentioned that it would now be in all of there current databases. So, here it is Silber Met. 2606. I love this color.
PS Detail blocking leads to slick finished panels. There is no substitute.

Thanks Robert. This color really impressed me. Of course laying down silver correctly is a challenge every time. Here is Silber Met. on a 356...simply majestic!

I stand corrected. Excuse the typo on the paint code. It is 6206...must have been the long and hot day in the booth.
