Typ901 display at Federation Square, Melbourne on May 27

Nearly 3 years after booking a spot we had our club display at Federation Square on May 27th.
A great opportunity to promote the club and to display some of the great cars around in Victoria.
Up to 25 cars could be accommodated on the square and the plan was to focus on Australian delivered and get a as complete as possible range of years & models (T, E, S) as possible and cars with unique history.

In the end 23 cars turned up for the event, which must have been close to being the biggest gathering of pre-1974 Porsches 911 in Australia.
Although it is already autumn here in the southern hemisphere, we were very lucky it remained dry for the day and ofcourse that there was a big interest in the cars.
The topic is covered on the Australian Typ901 forum (Link here) but as one can only see the pictures when registered, we figured we wanted to show some of the pictures here too.

Most of us met for breakfast near Albert Park (yes, that's where the F1 is held) before driving up collectively to the square.
Oldest, and probably most valuable car of the lot was John's gorgeous red 1965 car (see very first picture above). The display though was a good representation of Stuttgarts finest in models & colours up to 1973.

Some more pictures of the display:
