I recently purchased a set of Pallas lamps for my hood. Would anyone be willing to share the accepted locations / measurements for mounting the lamps on the hood?

Some appear to be higher on the hood than others.

I believe some will say there is a science to it, but I have gone by what looked right to me. Personally, I like them a little lower down on the hood, like my blue 912 above. But, the mounting holes interfered with the inner structure of the hood. On my red '71, I slid them up the hood a little to avoid hitting the inner structure of the hood, but would prefer them lower.

    Go with what you like.

The SWB cars tended to have them higher on the hood. The LWB cars were lower, or even on the fenders next to the headlights. Most of the photos here demonstrate those locations. There have been very detailed threads in the past on correct mounting points. I plan on using a spare hood for mine so I can run with/without.

Just the opposite of the factory fog light wiring (which only turns on the fogs when lights are in low beam) run the relay energize wire to the high beam fuse instead of the low beam fuse.
