1970 911 Love Story brochure, press release, press photo

SOLD, thank you for looking. The brochure is as new, the press release had a fold in it where it folds over the photo, and the photo has a few bends on it, you have to look for them, overall it's very good. The press release is stamped on the back "received" Oct 29 1969 Motor Editorial. $100 US delivered. My email is cs8815 at aol dot com.

If you are not familiar with this brochure it goes like this:

It measures app 9 1/2 x 12”, and is 19 pages not including the covers. First page shows Dr. Porsche standing in front of a 917, next page is entitled, “Some people race their cars after they build them. We race them before”, and talks about the Porsche family and their involvement in racing. The next two pages show the five 908’s that placed first through fifth in the 1000 kilometer Nuerburgring manufacturers championship race, talks about that and other race victories. The next page shows a half page photo of a 911 in a Rally race, and a half page photo of a 911 on the street.

Then there is, “The car that comes through over 1000 races and rallies every year should make it from stop sign to stop sign. The Porsche 911 is built to do both”. Accompanying text describes a lot of the features of the cars. The following two pages are entitled, “Racing is only one of the things that make a Porsche a Porsche”, has one full page and seven smaller photos of the cars being built. Text describes each part of the operation. Next up is, “The end of the Porsche assembly line is 25 miles long”, has a two page wide photo of several cars on their test track, one page wide photo of several cars getting ready to go. Text describes the road testing.

Then comes, “No matter which Porsche you get it’s got its own story”, a two page wide photo of four of this year’s models sitting on a track, and text describing some of the features and performance data for the 911T, 911E, 911S and Targa. The next two pages are a cutaway illustration of a coupe, entitle, “No matter what Porsche you get, you get this, too”, and there are 13 features highlighted, with directional lines to them. Two pages devoted to, “This is what it looks like from the inside”, with a page and a half wide photo of the interior as viewed from the passenger side, three smaller photos of the dash, door and front seats. The final two pages are devoted to technical specifications for all the cars. They are entitled, “The man who said specifications were dull never saw these”
