Not really, here in Md. the sun just just heats up the black interiors without mercy. I still keep the windows open with the cover on. It works about as well as parking under a shady spot.

The Brits had us all beat on this one....they offered split / zippered cockpit covers that snapped over the boot cover and then again on multiple little posts up by the windshield , over the dash top, on Healeys, MG's and Triumphs.
My ' 70 Triumph TR-6 has this cover which was all rolled up in the trunk when I bought it, in fact I left it on the car when it was shipped back 2000 miles to my home from LA. The zipper down the middle , the length of the car is not totally waterproof, but very useful to keep out sunload and dirt, and a guy can even unzip half of it and drive with the rest of the cockpit covered.

This deal you have here is a neat deal in its own right, but I have some questions about the underside .... is it a nice soft padding like some of the premium car covers ? And is it waterproof ? Also is it theftproof ?

Yes, Yes,and Yes w/optional cable lock.

I have the same type of tonneau cover on my Speedster, it actually is better at keeping the rain out than the convertible top.

Nice. Just like the canopy cover I used for the T6.

In Texas, the direct sunlight can literally bake the backs of your legs when you sit down. I can see where this may not be necesary for northern folk, but down here, it ought to help a lot.

Cracking the windows might keep the interior temps down --- but I'm more worried about my Nasty Old Dash cracking more . . . meanwhile I'm using a rolled-up 20-year-old bath towel for sun protection --- the Salvation Army solution . . .

This is a great product, but not new. I bought one for my Targa years ago from Performance Products, if I remember right. And YES, it does help protect the interior from our 100 degree Texas sun!

With hot summer on us again, I started to think about keeping sun off the interior and - since I always have the targa top off - something to protect from freak random accidents while parked outside.

I ended up purchasing the cool zone cover and am very pleased so far. For my situation it sags a bit without the targa top on as you'd expect, but the combination of handle tie downs and suction cups seems to do the trick.

In talking with the owner Ron, it sounds this was a side project that he doesn't plan to continue producing more. If you, like me, saw this post originally, thought you'd like to have one, but inertia got the better of you... now seems like the time.
