    Archival Photos With Tobacco Livery

I suppose it's only a matter of time before our benevolent politicians follow France's lead (again) This from ForumAuto, the largest automotive internet forum in Europe:

Hi all, Please note that we cannot accept images with a legible tobacco brand or name (including archival footage of motorsport). We recognize that the debate is wide between what is advertising or is not. Nevertheless, we must work on these images under the legislation in force in France. We ask you in the future to blur any image or brand visible in the photos you publish. You are responsible for the images you publish, and therefore we ask that you respect this request by self-moderating the forum. If old images appear on the forum containing brands of cigarettes or tobacco, send me a PM telling me to address the issue.

A politically-correct(ed) image of a 956, welcome to the future:

Given how so many cars ran with Gitanes and Gauloises liveries this may pose a threat to national pride. Zut alors!

That's the first I've heard of a website making a decision that's outside the letter of France's anti-tobacco advertising law.
It doesn't make any sense to censor archival images, guess they're not up to arguing the grounds for historical significance.
And how would they block sales of simulator games that contain tobacco liveried cars? Forza players won't like it!

Besides, Google images isn't going away... how would any western government block them?
