    That is a GORGEOUS car, but the tan interior blows it for me...too fragile.

    +1. Wears like a cheap suite. Most of the post 70's interiors are pretty fragile for that matter.

    "why so much for this car.???" hard to say, other than the color and low miles? I have a hard time understanding all of the recent high prices for "classic" Porsche's. I do think it's awesome though.

    after looking in red book .
    the 98 993 coupe is kinda rare only about 2000 of them made compared to the 10,000 coupes made in 97 .
    last MY of the aircooled 911 in a kool color i guess. .

    Color, Color, Color!
    With 12,000 miles on a 15 year old 993 it's safe to say that it's not being purchased as a commuter car. Interior color is a distant issue.

    A broker/exporter friend (doesn't know Porsches) recently asked about 993s because of a request from a German client.

    Color, low miles and rarity plus maybe overseas interest might be driving bids on this... 3+X book seems crazy though.
