    and a peanut gallery comment:

First, this is buried on the forum: to even find you you have to--- Off Topic / Test Area/Help / How To - Searching on the S Registry forums... just to find it.

Now., ask me how many times I have visited Off Topic. I suspect I am not unusual. I go to Early S to think, study, learn bits about our early 911s or some important trivia. To me, Off Topic is "Why am I bothering to be on Early S if I am not interested in the specific subject?".

Sticky this on the main areas where the traffic is. That, and change the title to HOW to search this forum and actually FIND things".

Also, add a note that is specific to adult learning: Adults generally [pretty much always!] need to; read/hear, repeat the information, then PRACTICE it a couple of times if they are to have a chance of remembering it and being able to do it. If you encourage people to stop for a moment and immediately try the process a couple of times you will have converts. In fact I am going to do that right now.

These are great tips but it poor spelling seems to confound the search. Especially in the title section I wish people would take more care to make sure of spelling. I am fairly certain poor spelling equals poor search results. For example - What are the best "tiers" (tires) to buy? You could have a great thread on the subject but probably have a difficult time finding it in search because of poor spelling.
