    911R steel rear wheel arches/flares

Does any one make correct profile rear wheel arch flares in steel for the 911R to fit a standard 911 SWB???

    regards

I'm pretty sure no one makes them. First they only built about 25ish cars, no way did Porsche spent the enormous amount of money to create a die to press them.
So they were all hand made, which means they were all different, even from side to side on the same car. Most R replica builders simply use a modified LWB fender flare and shape it to fit. Some use the GT Racing GRP flare as a guide to shaping a metal one.

I had presumed the flares started life as SWB (non) flares and were just metal-worked to get the correct R flare. Wouldn't that have been the easy way for the factory to produce such a few examples? I had contemplated doing the same on my 66 coupe R clone, but as I could already fit 15x7s with no issue, I didn't bother.

Makes sense. My 65 has the baby flares on it and 7's fit easily.
