    Dealer Description:

The car we have here is certainly a survivor. While the car has been repainted in its original shade of Irish Green only a few years back, most of the rest of the car is untouched. The S retains its matching numbers gearbox and engine. The interior is all original including the headliner, carpets and leather. The car even still uses its' original A/C. All of these items can be verified by the Certificate of Authenticity.

Since arriving at Gaudin Porsche from an incredible private collection, the car has been treated to major service including a returning of the mechanical fuel injection as well as valve adjustment. The results are evident. This S starts very easy and settles very quickly into a steady idle. Once warm the car pulls very strong in the low gears; you can tell this car makes use of all of its power. The 915 gearbox is excellent. The car shifts smooth through each gear. And the gearbox responds well when you move the lever faster and faster. The steering is light a direct; no evidence of tired suspension on this example. The car handles beautifully. The brakes are in excellent shape too; the car sheds speed well for its age!

Overall this car is in very fine condition. You could enjoy it for weekends and events alike. Fast, reliable and super fun to drive. It presents in driver quality condition meaning you can enjoy it worry free. The market for early long hoods has been very strong for the past five or six years, and this car is considered the best of the bunch from a purely driving standpoint. Making it an excellent investment that can be enjoyed every single day that you own it!

    Auction Description:

    - Highly collectable early 911 S
    - Finished in its original combination of Irish Green over black
    - Retains its matching-numbers drivetrain
    - Features desirable optional air-conditioning
    - Includes Porsche Certificate of Authenticity

In recent years, this 911 S benefitted from a comprehensive repaint in its correct and original color of Irish Green. The black leather interior remains largely original and features a Blaupunkt cassette radio and, most important, its original air-conditioning. Furthermore, the car’s tools and jack are included. Most recently, the Porsche underwent a major service where its correct mechanical fuel-injection system was installed, followed by a valve adjustment. In accordance with the car’s Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, the 911 features its original matching-numbers drivetrain, which has become crucial to discerning collectors.

The early air-cooled, long-nose 911s are certainly a fan favorite, which is why this ’73 S presents an excellent opportunity to acquire a car which is suitable for PCA rallies, concours events, and pleasurable weekend outings.
