Left to do is the lh sills, the rh outer sill and finish off the parcel shelf and rear window.

The lh qtr window needs some love.

Then it's grinding and fixing any dud welds.

My plan was to epoxy underneath and Schulz it and get it back on the dolly for fitting up the rear guards.

Then I can put the welder away

So hopefully by xmas that little list is done!

    Big Day

Today I knocked off work early and had a big crack at finishing the rear suspension repairs on both sides.

There was just a little welding around the torsion tube area to finish on the current repair.

The previous repair I had done was unfinished. So i trimmed up the excess metail and finished all the spot welds.

Both torsion tubes were cleaned out with a wire wheel welded to rod, and inserted into the drill.

Once finished, i treated with rust converter and galvinising spray.

Once this was complete I could get the shell back on the octiserie, and turn the shell again.

I finally was able to grind the welds from the floor and touch up any small defects. There was a good three hours of grinding and welding to get this right.
