    67 S #307438 S In storage

I guess it is my turn. Just bought this 67 S today. I am very excited. One owner car. Originally Bahama Yellow. I will restore back to that color. This is my first SWB 911. Matching numbers. No rust. I have restored many 70-73 cars and am not as familiar with these earlier cars. Time to do some research. Hope you enjoy the pics. I know they are not great. Taken with my cell phone. All input and advice appreciated. So glad to be back in the S game. TateName: 20121008_133245.jpg

Congrats Tate. I never noticed that the '67 911 speedometer has fewer markings than a similar '67 912 speedometer. I wonder why that is? I mention it because at first I thought maybe it had been switched. I checked some other cars for reference and discovered it is correct. Sorry for the digression.

    Cheers,
    Mike

Thanks everyone. Engine # is 961193 901/02 7420 This car was at my friends restoration shop and I inquired about it 6 months ago. The previous owner was repainting the car in Silver. It had already been painted silver. The shop owner tried to get the previous owner to change the color back to Bahama Yellow but to no avail. The restoration shop had already done $13k worth of bodywork and it is now straight and completely rust free. It was a running and driving car when the previous owner brought it to the shop one year ago. My intention is to restore it back to original condition. I will post many pics of the restoration. I am open to any and all suggestions.
Eric (Soterik) I will definitely be looking to you for any and all parts needed. I have bought from you in the past.
Peter: You might not remember me but we had a few conversations years ago when I was selling my 1972 911 S 9112300321 It is now in NJ and has been fully restored.
Thanks everyone for the kind words. Tate

I wonder if the PO got restoration blues after having the car tied up for a year and high body and paint costs? Bahama Yellow is a great color. Making sure the color comes out accurate, I would demand using Glasurit paint and a computer matching formula. Chris
