    More Best of France & Italy, 2012 . . .

The 'swap meet' part wasn't very big --- maybe a couple dozen vendors? . . . but the selection of bits was pretty interesting/comprehensive

Lots o' gauges + instrumentation, all kinds of labels + tags + decals, trim (int + ext) --- even license plates . . . 'Prova' tags, anyone? All those little touches needed to finish-off one's car with

    Then there were the Lancia Guys . . . engines, trans-axles . . . even saw what looked like a 'Nardi kit' dual-carb install (?) (!!!)

    . . . and a few cars

    FIAT '600' . . . which, I guess is bigger/better/longer/stronger than a '500'? . . .

    '54-year-old paint' . . .

    Now --- about those wheel covers . . .

Did not know Citroen exported 2cv in the US, no price.
    A 1966 mini 1.0...very very interesting.

Looks like much Germans and US stuff than Italian and French no ?
    Nice pics anyway.

    More coming . . .
A friend has several nice Siatas (among mostly Maserati, Bizzarini and Ferrari). I like all that late 40's early 50's stuff.
Whether it's a Simca 8 sport coupé or a (french) Ford Comète (my budget) or a Cisitalia (not my budget).
Those "looks like a pedal driven 212 or 166" cars meet very much my taste.
    Cheers

    More Best of France & Italy, 2012 . . .

    '500' flavors . . .

These are the most I've ever seen of these things --- can't remember seeing 'em growing-up . . . except in movies

Looks like most cars've been 'personalized' . . . some more than most (--- the inevitable luggage racks + bumper guards) . . . some beyond recognition

Vintage FIAT cabriolet. Reminds me (a LOT) of the Lancia. Low-key . . . not sure if this is a 1200 or 1500 --- both 4-cyl OHV . . . so more elegant than sporty. (OK --- slow). Sexy hardtop

Un-restored, pretty sure. Mid-'60s CA black-plate. Tough to see in these photos but rust between the inner + outer skin has started munching thru the trunk. Not sure how to say 'corrosion protection' in Italian . . . but I don't think these cars were ever meant to last anywhere near this long, regardless. All the fiddly bits in attendance + no damage visible so . . . one lucky car
