Anyone running RE-11 Bridgestones on 16's?

As tires are slim to none and super expensive for 15" wheels I was curious if any one is running RE-11's on a flared early car like an ST? They make a 245 45 16 and a 225 50 16. If anyone has any pictures of these on a LWB and could post them that would be great. Maybe, it's time to have Harvey make me some 16's with the RSR finsh?

The reviews on the tire itself are excellent. Bridgestone says they are commited to making this size in the future. For $786.00 dollars you could get all 4. I was thinking about another set of wheels anyway and this might be the way to go. I saw a picture of them on a 72 on Pelican and they don't look too bad.

I have a set on my '85 Carrera with 7s & 9s (205s & 245s) and after about 3 months I'm super pleased. Great grip and very little noise. I've got them on 3 pc BBS wheels that I've had for over 25 yrs.

I have a set on my 71 E 6's and 7's 195 and 205's and a set on my 84 3.2 7's and 9's 205 and 245. Very grippy tire, very forgiving at the limit, they are fairly hard cold but smooth out and become gripper once warm. Overall very impressed with the tires.

I've got 205/55/16 and 225/50/16 and they are very good tires. Predictable and sticky in the dry and very good in the wet.
I think you'll have a hard time finding something better.

Had 'em on a Cayman S... Very good tire but, compared to equivalent Michelin super sport, they are more expensive and *a lot* heavier...
I've started watching tire weights, big differences...

    It looks like BFGoodrich makes a 255 50 16 g-Force Sport COMP-2 and also a 225 55 16 or 225 50 16. Anyone tried these tires on a early 911?
