Of course it is a bummer that there is no factory notations of soft window equipment. There are absolutely ways to tell if the car was a soft window originally or not but the rear window pretty much needs to be unhooked from the car. There are 3 mounts at the back of the parcel tray to hold the rear bows, 2 distinct holes on the targa bar to mount the lower bow and another detail that I am not saying so in the future forgers do not try to make a fake SWT.

Here is my dad's 1969 S SWT, fresh from a motor rebuild including putting the stock MFI system back on. He has had the car for 30 years and it still makes him smile every time he gets near it. A numbers correct car with matching COA.

did anyone here purchase the one on E-bay 6 months ago it was a 72 or 73 with the ugliest 80 pimp update white with red velour interior, It had soft window listed on the coa along with lots of other options. Sold at around 12,500.00 I knew it was rare but not like this someone got a good project.
