Sunday I took the 356 out for a drive and wife tagged along in the 72S...she was grinning from ear to ear...loves driving the Silver Jet as she calls it.

Sprayed gas tank with Wurth Stoneguard. Fun. I'll let it dry before trying to dial in exact color. One bottle Wurth does 2 tanks. Have a party.
You pay for shipping you can borrow my spray gun.(required)

As well you should! Update: It is not a Dansk but in fact an original '68 tank as you suspected. The difference in the vent tube dia. is due to U.S. emissions. Go figure.

I picked up my new ID. I won an auction for this number. Paid 600$ for this «caprice» but happy now.
I just need a car to hang on now...
Trudi is coming back soon with a new engine: upgrade to 3,6 liters, new slide injection instead of high butterflies, new fuel pump, RSR oil filter, etc.
Expect at least 370 HP. Not bad for a car which weight under 900 kilos...
