    Owner's Manual Cover

I have not seen one of these in this color combination before, it came with a 914 owner's manual I bought for 1970 model year. The publishing date of the manual is '69. Color outside is standard Maroon, inside is Blue Marble color (not solid blue). Has anyone seen one of these? Thanks!Name: IMG_0418.jpg

Maybe 914 specific or after 73.
Early (65/66) came maroon inside/out, later design often inside in light grey or beige.
After 1968ish looks like several designs w different interior colors co-existed. Thats all I know.

BTW, if the manual is published late in 69, its for 70MY.

I'm thinking that the sub-contractor who made these was running low on maroon vinyl and used whatever they had extra of for the not-very-visible inside...

Any attempt to identify which cover goes with which car and year would only be a WAG, not even A SWAG, IMHO.

I agree with Jim. I have green & grey interiors. The Porsche logo on the outside are in slightly different locations.

+2....I have a bunch of these that per the owner came out of a dealership when they went under....I was told, the salesperson at the dealership would grab a cover off the shelf when and if they needed one for a new car sale, used car sale or any multitude of reasons...maybe just as simple as the curstomer wanted an extra.

But even we dont know which came for which MY year, did all colors came at all years ? I dont think so.
For shure different manufactors existed and changed over the years.
IMHO some interior colors did first not exist in MY 65, others did.
And since they continued well into MY74, for shure dealerships had plenty of them left, all years mixed, some older, some newer.
BTW, mine RoW MY71 (Nov. 70 built) is grey inside.

    So, what is your point?
Did all colors come in all years?
    Of course not!
By the way, they continued into 1989, maybe even further.

    Warmest regards

Ok, thanks for opinions, I have seen all the colors mentioned above but was not familiar with the color combo I pictured. I guess I was hoping it was a very rare combo for '69 model year only.
