Ebay Find: Leston Wood Steering Wheel

Found this guy selling a Les Leston on Ebay.

This is one of the better Les Leston wheels as it has a full circumference aluminium centre.

The early wheels, in common with original Lotus Cortina Wood Tims only had short aluminium 'spats' into the wood.

The majority of the rim was owwd and there was nor aluminium centre.

If you had a big accident without belts, and my old 63 Lotus still doesn't have belts, the rim collapsed and the wood cut your wrists - I suppose at least they came with a 'lifetime' guarantee.
