    Just got my COA

    My 68 911 has a gearbox 901/04
    What the heck is that?

    It would seem that the factory believes your car was produced with a 901 gear box that had 4 gears forward.

    I have not seen that one before. What is the serial #? Then I would check the transmission itself. The numbers are on the bottom rib under the case. It is odd that I have not come across this one before.

    COA is probably wrong...

    My COA quotes the correct trans number (found on the trans) it is a conventional 5 speed unit. Although the COA calls is a sporto! Keith

    According to this, it is a 902/0, however I would not trust that completely. Please check the numbers on the transmission case to verify.
