Let's see how long this post stays up...

There are several sellers on here that are here to make money and nothing else. Yes i sell on here but i also contribute with information and help be it technical, ST based or seat belt based. Some of the sellers do not contribute in any way. Asking them for 70 bucks a year is not going to stop them. If you don't contribute but only sell then it shouldn't be allowed. My opinion....

I do that and it does have a purpose. I post the item as “pending” so I don’t get emails or pm’s telling me “I’ll take it” and claiming later they were first to respond. I also post “sold” to show someone actually paid for the item and is no longer available. Yes, people will still ask if they can be second, third and up to forth in line if they think they have a chance.

My pet peeve is $5 price drops when the item is $500 or someone bumping a buddies item with “GLWS”.

If you go through all my for sale ads, they all sell pretty quickly. I never “bump” without a good price drop or waste people’s time.

How much does a member have to contribute before they can sell an item here?

and yes, I’m a paying member.

I wonder why some post items for sale and then never answer a PM or email to complete the sale?

I am relieved to see I am not the only one... midly annoyed by users (I can't call them members) who are here only for the money, ethics and forum camaraderie be damned.

While I’m too somewhat annoyed by those who are only here for financial gain, they do provide a service. After looking for over a year for the rare 69s clutch, I was able to finally secure one from a “dealer only” poster.

Is this a one off response to Eric's post or the official answer to the issues of classifieds abuse?

Chuck was just on this thread a few minutes ago, so I know he's watching this. I've gotten a response from him that I can't directly offer my parts here any longer despite my contributions to the board and to the community with the parts offerings. But Enoz05 and Juche Namja etc get free run? I've pulled my ads in Esses as a direct response to Chuck.

So... Chucks deliberated for years (go to the beginning of this thread), why can't there be a vendor area???

A side note that the 912 Forum also doesn't allow "vendors", so I won't even post over there (screw em'), but they do allow enoz05. Go figure....

The abuse continues.... thanks for listening. Prototypes of of a couple of needed items will be presented at the Phoenix Club.

Let's see if this is deleted along with my other posts today.....
Wait... you advertise in the Esses, you are a valued contributor, have the best quality parts, and can't run your products here???
    Unbelievable!

Management has determined that I'm a vendor they can do without.. and I'm not allowed to post my parts here. So, posting technically and generally is not something I'm willing to do without other access. I was here for literally decades and the last 10 years I was posting along with providing needed, previously unavailable parts, a hobby business. No good deed goes unpunished....

Good luck to all, I'll be posting on other forums and you can find me in my signature below.

    Thanks,
    Eric
