    My '66 Project - 304417

Here's my new project a '66 "hot rod".....

You may recognize the car. I've seen it on the forum in a few older posts.

It's got a number of issues to sort out, but that's half the "fun", right?

I'm going to try and keep track of my repairs, changes and upgrades here. I've already learned so much about early Porsche's from you all, and I'll try to be helpful and not ask too many stupid questions.

Good get - that's the one paul at auto kennel was selling right?

I tried to convince a mate of mine to buy it to no avail.

Put some chrome back on and you're good to go.
    Cheers, Ryan

I saw the car, I like very very much the Bad Ass look. I would not touch it but the chrome rims and the muffler.
    Nice buy anyway.

PS : BTW, Setho, maybe you could afford an annual Early911Sregistry fee. Thanks.

Wow: sure looks different to my '66 coupe... I'm trying to keep mine stock, but every time I see an outlaw or hot rod, I wish I wasn't so puritanical... oh well, maybe I just need to buy another car to play with!

Ryan - yep! That's it. Paul was great to deal with. I was actually thinking of going for black door handles! I'm not crazy about the black wheels though.... But it's got a fairly unique look, which I really like.

Xavier - I joined the registry before I even bought the car!

Bob - Thanks! BTW, love the calendar. Looks great in my office.

Stephen - I felt that way about my 2000 911. I didn't want to screw around with it. Hence the '66. I love the outlaws.

I ordered a Rennshift shifter, and I'm waiting for that to come now. I need to get the lights working. Sadly, the car runs like crap. I'm hoping that a tune-up will do the job.
