Last year was kind of slow with two kids in college.... But I've got a few things coming to make it better.

For those who have been following along.... The transaxle in my car is from a 912. Between that and the 2.7L, it much faster than you'd ever expect. But that speed comes at a cost - high revs. 4500 rpm+ just to do 85 in 5th gear. Yuck.

So, I'm having the trans pulled apart and installing a ZD gear in 5th. I'm hoping to treat it like an overdrive and be comfortable when cruising on the highway.

Hoping this works as expected and can't wait to get it back.

I guess it's time for a new flywheel. And I never once had an issue with it turning over.

One of the things that's bothered me for years was the use of later gauges in the car.... And now, the return of green face gauges to the dash.

This car keeps getting better and better. I’m lucky enough to drive with Setho when the weather permits. I applaud Setho for the transformation that has occurred so far, like blucille, it’s sort of a rolling restoration, but each upgrade is a milestone worth the wait.

Hope to see you on the road again soon
