So, not a lot happened with the car over the last couple of years, but I finally got to a project that had been put off for a long time. Replaced the CDI with an MSD 6AL and the distributor with a 123Tune+.

At first it was a bit disappointing. The stock ignition curve was pretty weak and it felt like a setback. But after getting the right curve programmed? Wow! In the decade I've had the car it's never run as well, especially at higher RPM's.

I know that a lot of people love the CDI. My experience with the MSD in the past always seemed to be good. Easier starts and better idle. I don't notice any difference with the MSD on the 911. The only good thing is that if the MSD ever dies, I can pick another one up almost anywhere in the US.
