The next set of five deals mainly with the signature component of this whole project..........DETAILS.

It's difficult to emphasize just how pervasive Rob's attention to and execution of details really is.........it manifests itself in virtually every part of the car. You need to see it in the flesh to appreciate the total effect of the extremely well-made choices ........an opportunity which will present itself in August during the Montery Motorsport Reunion week, specifically on Tuesday, at the Cars-on-the-Avenue Concours d'Elegance on Ocean Ave, where the car is an accepted entrant.

An example of craftsmanship, a nod to originality & correctness in the hinge photo, two photos of the hand-made exhaust cut-out cap in the NOS steel RS rear bumpers for those who may be motivated to create their own, and the devilishly good-looking body-colored bumper guards for a smooth, naturally integrated overall rear-view. Also a view of the 8" Fuchs rear wheels.

a final full set of five............per setho's suggestion in the photography thread in the off-tpoc forum, I got low, close and used a wide angle, late in the afternoon - the third photo below. You be the judges.

The other four are intended to recap the major areas of the car:

the front cavity - the final decision whether to include the trunk carpeting has not been made yet.
    the interior
    where the sounds eminate
    the underside

PS: sorry I wasn't able to achieve the full, intended effect in this set since the demons in the machine arranged the shots in the order they wanted, despite my taking previous advice and numbering the photos as I intended them to be displayed.......but I'm sure you know what I meant.

and now, really the final four.

    1. Forgive me the small personal indulgence, but I am growing more & more fond of black & white everyday. So much more honest. The telephoto foreshortening effect really emphasizes the beefy haunches of the RS flares and the basic no-nonsense overall appearance of the early 911 Series.

This thing looks soooo right on the road,

    2. whether it's coming at you,

    3. or going away from you. Incidentally, final ride height adjustment will be made during corner weighing in the next day or two.

    4. A final, grand gesture which Rob designed, commissioned and included in the interior to personalize this bespoke, specifically designed car for its highly selective owner.

    Thanks again for looking,

    John,
A couple of questions about your stunning car.
Where did you buy the Avon tires?
    Who covered your seats?
    Thanks,
    Ted

Now for my tech question. Can anyone help me ID the steering rack protection plate? I've got the aluminum cross member and the stock plate I have doesn't fit. The one I've got on the car doesn't look like this one.

It would be a shame to actually drive it.

    Some really neat details.
