Excellent mechanical condition with a very powerful 2.4-liter engine (producing 190 horsepower), 915 manual 5-speed transmission that shifts perfectly with four-wheel disc braking system. Just completed engine-out service including rebuild transmission, fully tuned and serviced engine with new plugs, points, wires, rebuild mechanical fuel injection pump, all new brakes, refinished Fuch wheels and Pirelli tires.

Beautiful paint with the original interior finished in the original color combination Black/Black. A Porsche Classic Technical Certificate has been ordered. Solid and rust free with all original floor pans and front suspension. Options include Electric Sliding Sunroof, ''S'' front spoiler, Fuch Alloy Rims, original owner's manual and jack.

Only 1430 ''911S'' Coupes were built for the 1973 year. The electric sunroof was a special ordered option that was an additional cost of $450 (approximately 10% were special ordered with the electric sunroof option). Truly a rare 911S that is only getting harder to find and increasing in value.

History

The 1972–1973 model years consisted of the same models of 911- the entry-level T, the midrange E and the top of the line S. However, all models got a new, larger 2,341 cc (2.341 L; 142.9 cu in) engine. This is universally known as the ''2.4L'' engine, despite its displacement being closer to 2.3 liters- perhaps to emphasize the increase over the 2.2 L. The new power ratings for the T were 130 hp (97 kW), or 140 hp (104 kW) in the U.S., 165 hp (123 kW) for the E and 190 hp (142 kW) for the S.

Few cars made as permanent a mark in the automobile history in both engineering and design as the Porsche 911 and the 1973 2.4-liter production year is widely considered Porches' best vintage 911. Today, the early model years (1965 to 1973) are considered highly collectible, offering the purest forms of an iconic sports car. Early 911's embody a combination that is rare among collector cars today. They have unparalleled drivability and usability, especially when compared with other cars of this the same vintage.

All early 911's have appreciated tremendously in recent years, with good solid cars seeing especially significant increases in value. The late cars (1972 and 1973), fitted with a 2.4 Liter engines, are very desirable and are generally regarded to be the ultimate development of the original long hood 911. The 911 S was the top-of-the-line of the 911 range (other than the 73 Carrera RS) featuring the most sporty equipment and the most powerful engine.
