That car strikes me as one of dumbest prices I've seen in a while. There was a moment when I thought "maybe'. The '71 engine brought an end to that though rather quickly

Sling enough mud against the wall and some will stick.

It's like fishing. You don't go home after 2 or 3 casts.
This one is a catfish (aka turd-wrestler in the South) but it might look like a Marlin to the right buyer.

Hate those aftermarket seat belt receptacles peering out from between the botox filled seats.

Would love to know the serial number and the price.
Why is it that European dealers rarely disclose the complete VIN, engine or trans numbers? None of the photos appear to be the actual car; all labelled "Visual for Information".

    Auction Description:

    • 1 of Only 449 Single*-Year 911Ls
    • Unrestored Survivor
    • Original Fuchs Wheels and Fitted Luggage

This rare 911 is one of only 449 911Ls produced. More amazing still is that it is an incredibly well-*optioned survivor. It was resprayed in its original white three years ago, but has never been restored. The incredible condition inside and out supports the belief that the low mileage is genuine. It retains its original black and red plaid interior, rare ‘Elephant Hide' doors and impossible to find Deluxe carpeting. This 911L also has factory fitted luggage and its original Fuchs wheels. All original books and tools are included as are a file of receipts for the paint and recent mechanical overhaul. What a remarkable chance to secure not only a rare 911L, but one in this condition with so many desirable options. This is a superb early 911 and incredible investment opportunity.

    '69 911S for sale

For sale in Belgium, not mine.

I think this car has a rather strange VIN font, looks to be of a 1972/1973 911, the 1969 has a more rounded type of font, at least in my own '69. What do the experts think of this? Also the type plate shows 911S-B in stead of 911S, is that normal?

Are you saying this is not a 1969 911S with a 1969 911S engine and that the numbers are fake?

That is what I am asking. The engine number looks authentic to me, but the VIN looks different from other 1969 VIN Numbers.
