In Germany/Europe, does the government motor vehicle department, where one registers and pays the fees and taxes for a car get involved in verifying the legitamacy of a chassis number?

Last registration was in France. Don't know what they do there...
To actually register a car to drive in Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany.. on the roads a MOT/TUV... check is required where they check the car and VIN stamps. But would they know this has not the stamps as we know them for a 1969?
To import a car, the stamps are not checked... you don't have to bring the car to the duty office...

    Auction Description:

    - Just Two Owners from New and Single Ownership Since 1991
    - Subject of Recent Significant and Selective Restoration Work
    - Stunning Original Metallic Green over Black Color Combination
    - Comes with Porsche COA, Tool Kit, Service and Restoration Receipts
    - Award Winner at the 2014 Santa Fe Concorso

Originally owned by Fla Lewis of Denver, Colorado, this fantastic 1971 911 2.2 S remained in the family for two decades. In 1991, the current owner, who was acquainted with the Lewis family, acquired the superbly maintained Porsche as a high school graduation gift for her son. While the son drove it for a short while, his parents bought the car back from him to facilitate the payment of student loans.

The 911 sat in storage for several years before being treated to necessary refurbishment between 2009 and 2014. The suspension and brakes were rebuilt in 2009 before a comprehensive engine rebuild in 2010 by the experts at PMCI in Corrales, New Mexico. In 2013, the cherished 911 was sent to Classic Investments of Englewood, Colorado, and received selective and sympathetic restoration work. Relevant metalwork was performed, an exacting finish in the original Porsche Metallic Green was applied, the Fuchs wheels were restored, and a new black leatherette interior was fitted. Systems were gone through as necessary, and all functions rendered fully operational. Immediately on completion in 2014, the car was presented with an award in the Sports and GT Class at the Santa Fe Concorso.

Presented with the Porsche COA, a portfolio of receipts for more than $80,000, tool kit, and with very few post-rebuild miles on the clock, this unique Porsche 911 2.2 S is eligible for PCA Club events, shows, and tours and will undoubtedly provide its next partner with an exhilarating experience.

    Hello Guys,

I bought this S a couple of years ago, from a client of Mr Ed Mayo, needless to say most every one knows who he is. Car was serviced by him.

The car when i bought it was white in colour. Had a dual tip exhaust and 7x15 fuchs.

Its a NON MATCHING ENGINE, but has a period coorect engine, with all of its correcta bit, MFI etc.....

    What i have done ;

Painted 911 back to its original colour

    Two Recaro Repro Seats

    Original Muffler single tip

Original 6 x 15 Fuchs on new classic tyres
    Original Steering Wheel

I brought the car here to Spain, but i did not register it, paid its EU Tax, but still has its original Texas title. This means that the car will not pay import duties.
