    This is my car is anyone has questions and open to offers in the $60k range.

    Scheduled in at local Seattle specialist, Elhot Metal Fab late Nov. if no new owner by then - will return to Irish Green and go thorough over the Winter, focusing on body and interior with a few upgrades to shifting.

    Researching and accumulating parts now:
    1) Exotic Car Seats RS replicas in leather with hounds-tooth - December;
    2) Fuchs 7" and 8";
    3) 915 shifter (Hargett & other options);

    Cheers - Adam

    Seller's Description:

    One of the best restored 1967 911 S cars in the world. It is an original Texas car with two previous owners. This 1967 911 S recently received a nut and bolt restoration. Paint and bodywork was performed by a well know local Porsche restoration and repair facility Apex Classique. Its matching numbers engine and transmission were also completely rebuilt by a Porsche certified master technician. Great care was taken to restore all components to as new or better condition or source like replacements to include proper date stamps when parts original to the car were not considered acceptable.

    Please note I am helping with the sale of this car for its current owner. I have complete access to this vehicle, can provide additional photos and information upon request, and negotiate pricing with interested parties.

    Auction Description:

    The car presented here is a 1973 (F-series) 911 S 2.4 Targa, an extremely rare right-hand drive, C16 (UK-market) delivered example. There was a total of only 925 Targa ‘S’ cars built in 1973 (the only year that RHD pre-impact Targas were built) with conceivably just 73 RHD examples for the whole worldwide market, with less than 50 of these coming to the UK, now with only possibly 10-12 cars remaining here - making it feasibly one of the rarest early 911s of them all.

    This car was delivered new through ‘Falcon Works of Middlesex’ (Porsche Cars GB Ltd.) on the 26th April 1973 and has a wonderfully traceable ownership history right up until the present day. It is a matching-numbers example (confirmed by inspection and research), having both chassis and engine numbers that fit perfectly into the prescribed range for its year and type. Giving, even more, reassurance, the car is accompanied by a comprehensive history file which documents its provenance, ownership, and restoration (including copies of its original 1973 sales invoice and order forms, period photos, letters from previous owners, numerous MOT certificates and invoices, restoration images etc.). This detailed history file would support that the indicated mileage of 90,000 may well be wholly correct.

    Our vendor bought the car in 2006 and commissioned a ground-up restoration of it with respected Porsche specialists ‘Export 56’, costing approximately £40,000. This restoration benefited from diligent ownership over the years, which included some significant work done in 1985/86. Every known owner of the car has been traced and contacted, with the previous one having it 30 years - you only keep a car this long if it's particularly good! The car now wears its original registration number of ‘PMC 680L’ and is in the correct colour of Metallic Silver (925), as it left the factory. Our marque-enthusiast vendor further utilised the skills of another specialist ‘Gantspeed Engineering Ltd.’ for both work to the suspension and, then in 2009, for a thorough engine and brake overhaul. This healthy and restored example is ready to be used and enjoyed to the full and would make a worthy addition to any collection.

    The 2.4 ‘S’ is regarded as one of finest and most coveted 911 models ever, and having the chance to buy such a rare matching numbers RHD example, is certainly not to be missed.

    Auction Description:

    We are pleased to offer this particular 911 S 2.2 Coupe which was manufactured in February 1970 in left-hand drive form and was subsequently delivered to the USA where is was sold to its first owner in March of that year. Specifications and options at that time included a black leatherette interior, front and rear spoiler delete and tinted side glass and windshield. First registered in the UK on 9th September 2000, this car was sourced by our vendor, himself a serial Porsche owner for the last 20 years, who purchased it in January 2011. This 'matching numbers' car is finished in Ivory White with a black interior and whilst the body and paintwork were in excellent condition, our vendor felt other areas of the car could be improved upon.

    The car was sent to respected marque specialist JAZ Porsche who removed the engine and gearbox. The top ancillaries were stripped off and items powder coated/replaced where necessary. The carburettors were sent away to a specialist for a full rebuild at the same time. The gearbox was stripped and all 5 synchros were replaced, before being reassembled and mated to the engine once again. New engine mounts, fuel hoses and a fuel pump were also fitted at this time for which there are invoices included in the file.

    The car was then sent to Sportwagen where it had some minor cosmetic work and new front and rear torsion bars, along with new rear shock absorbers. New Rennsport Sports seats with black corduroy centres were fitted, giving the interior a stylish look. The result of all this focused effort is a remarkable car with quality paintwork and excellent panel gaps. It retains its original aluminium engine lid and, unlike most US-cars of this era, the original dashboard remains straight and crack-free. The gauges have been restored and we believe the Blaupunkt 'Frankfurt' radio is period correct and original to the car.

    Our vendor comments that this 911 S 2.2 is "a true pleasure to drive with its rev-happy feel. The engine starts easily, pulls strongly through the rev range with a tight ride, excellent handling and braking. The five-speed dog-leg changes smoothly and is truly addictive."

    Supplied with a good history file, a Porsche Certificate of Authenticity, its original drivers manual, and a jack and toolkit, this matching numbers car is MOT tested until 8th February 2018. With 911S 2.2s becoming increasingly rare in the market place, this quality example would make a sensible investment, or is simply ready to be driven as intended.
